Adam Finn

Adam Finn is Professor Emeritus of Paediatrics at the University of Bristol and honorary consultant in paediatric infectious diseases and immunology at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Adam formerly led the Bristol Vaccine Centre, which conducts clinical vaccine trials and studies in both children and adults and conducts epidemiological studies of vaccine preventable infectious diseases. A particular focus of the group is understanding the mucosal immunology that underlies many population-wide vaccine indirect effects through impact on transmission. Adam was formerly President of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Chair of the European Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Immunisation of the World Health Organisation and a member of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (the UK NITAG).
